Nepal packing is over for some sellers on ebay, with ebay banning all sellers from selling bags of up to 50 kilograms.
A spokesperson for the company, ebay.com, said the decision to close the site comes in response to concerns that some sellers were selling items over the 50kg mark.
“The decision has been taken by ebay to remove all items that are not legal to sell in Nepal,” the spokesperson told AFP news agency.
The seller said they were also concerned about the quality of the items being sold.
“All items in our cart are marked as 100% genuine and the seller does not want anyone to be able to sell their goods to Nepal,” he said.
“It has been a big issue in our life.
We have been doing this for more than 10 years.”
Kathmandur, the capital of the Himalayan nation, is one of the most popular destinations in the world for tourists.
Baggage is also sold at many other popular tourist destinations in Nepal.
On Wednesday, eBay suspended all its sellers in Kathmandu, and ebay removed all its listings in the capital Kathmandur.
Kathmbhata, a small town on the outskirts of Kathmandus capital, Pokhara, has been one of Kathar’s most popular tourist attractions since it was established by European settlers in 1858.
It is also the only city in the country where there is a thriving food market.
