A boy and his mother died in a house fire Sunday night in southern Tennessee, authorities said.
A child, 9, died at the scene and his parents, 10-year-old Doreen and 10-month-old Isaiah, were rescued but later died, the Franklin County Coroner’s Office said.
Doreen was found unresponsive inside a home in the 2200 block of West Ridge Road in Shelbyville, according to the sheriff’s office.
Isaiah was found inside a bedroom, according the sheriff.
Isaiah was pronounced dead at the hospital, officials said.
Isaia’s mother was treated and released from a hospital and was expected to be released Monday morning, according with authorities.
The fire started around 10 p.m.
Sunday at the home and spread to other homes, the sheriff said.
A sheriff’s deputy responded to the fire and found the boy unresponsive in the living room.
The child was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
